The second system
utilizes the towing, through line or belt, of a
train of laminar scrapers and brushes which do
not rotate.
The winch is set on fixed speeds, as a function of
the diameter. According to the conditions of scaling,
of pipe and according to the operator’s experience,
we decide the arrangements of calendering or scraping
wagons, or we define the number of necessary passages.
After using the mechanical scrapers we remove the
waste from the treated pipe through hydro washing
(routine drainage).
Hydro mechanical scraping off:
A special combined motor vehicle realized ad hoc
for pipe scaling under pressure allows the use
of special turbine nozzles inside the piping,
which move some scraping arms provided with widia
breaker arms. These nozzles, invented by us,
let us work in continuous, removing wedges, welding
flashes and very thick scaling, while simultaneously
clearing away the removed material. Water pressure
and flow rate make it possible to remove, in
a single application, very thick scaling. The
working nozzle is followed by a special protected
telecamera to check constantly the quality of
scaling off.
Finish:
The finish of scaling off is realized by passing
special polyurethan pigs pushed by air or water.
This final passage removes perfectly the last
residues and the traces of washing water.
