This year three new renovation standards have been published thanks
to ISO/TC 138/SC 8 working group 2. The UNI EN ISO 11296-4 and the
UNI EN ISO 11297-4 go to define certain rules for the CIPP (Cured in Place
Pipe) technique both for gravity and pressure sewer pipes. One of the
big news is the clear distinction between short-term mechanical
characteristics and long-term mechanical characteristics that the installed
system must have (state M and state I). The UNI EN ISO 11297-2 referred
to the rehabilitation systems called continuous pipes (also known as
“Slip Lining”) goes to normalize a technique in order to guarantee to the
final customer a quality specification.
